This Frigidaire 30" electric range in stainless steel front and black sides is a nice upgrade and functionality perfect. The black top is attractive with burners that stay in place. Oven light comes on when door us opened.

I absolutely love my stove! The way it complements my kitchen! It's high black shine is the perfect focal point when you walk into the room! The finish is mirror like! Using the stove to cook my dinners is now something I actually look forward to even after a hard day at work. Two years ago I bought a GE glass top range very very unhappy with that plus the glass top shattered. So I went back to the old style and I absolutely love my new range. I should™™ve gotten this two years ago instead of going with a glass top. Very very nice.

I™™ve had this oven for a year. I was in the kitchen the other day when suddenly the front glass of the oven door shattered into a million pieces. The oven wasn™™t on or hot. No one was near it (thank god!). It just shattered for no reason. The glass was popping off the floor for minutes afterwards like the glass was under so much pressure that was finally released. My 10 year old daughter cut her hand because glass had went six feet away into her tennis shoes. When she went to put them on the next day she cut herself. My two year old daughter was just a few feet away when It exploded. I called Frigidaire and they wanted to charge ME to send someone out to tell them yes it is broken. Like what?!? I™™m a single mother who™™s a full time college student. That was a huge purchase for me and they want to treat me as well though I™™m lying and make me pay for it.

The top gets so hot around the burners, you can't even stand next to the stove to stir your pot without getting burnt. Not safe at all! It seems like a fire hazard. I am returning this stove.

I purchased this new stove approximately two weeks ago so far and very pleased with itEverything works as advertised and the oven heats up very quickly.. seems to hold a nice even temperature. I like the black enamel finish and the stainless steel front it™™s a nice contrast.I have two concerns both are safety issues..The racks in the oven are very easy to pull completely out .this could be very hazardous especially if cooking something that has hot liquids. I feel there should be a more positive stop to prevent the racks from being pulled completely out..The other issue is there are some extremely sharp edges on the inside of the storage drawer at the bottom of the stove .. these could easily slice a finger or your hand.. all in all I am satisfied with this purchase..

I was looking for a coil top range because my house only has an electric hookup and I use cast iron to cook so a glass top wasn't a viable option. I bought this one because it's the coil version of the gas range I had many years ago. So far I really like it. The stovetop temperature stays consistent on whatever you've set it to. The oven seems to have accurate and steady temperature, too. My biggest complaint is that the stovetop gets very hot in front when the oven is on - my last two ranges did not do this and it gets hot enough to burn if you aren't careful. I don't tend to use the stovetop while the oven is on, but it's still dangerous if you aren't aware and touch the stovetop area, for instance, while using your other hand to open the oven door. Also, the plastic oven handle has a very sharp line where the mold joined, which I've tried to file down because it's actually sliced me a bit (didn't draw blood, fortunately). The gas version of this range had a stainless handle, and I feel this plastic handle is a downgrade. Overall it functions well but the design suffers a bit compared to previous ranges I've had, especially compared to the gas version of this model. For a coil range, though, I think it's one of the best I found at this price point.

I purchased this stove in May to replace a 15 year old stove. It caught fire in August while making tortillas. It took three weeks to get someone out to look look at it, to which the repair guy didn't believe we didn't do something to cause the fire. This is the last Frigidaire I will purchase.I have seen others say how the stove top gets very hot, not sure if this caused the fire???

I am pleased with the overall performance of my new range, but I do have concerns about the amount of heat transfer from the range top to the edges of the unit. The exterior edges or the circumference of the range top get extremely hot, in fact burning to the touch. I am concerned that the close contact to the surrounding countertop could cause ignition after a prolonged simmer or boil on any one of the burners It seems like there should have been more heat intervention or absorption to prevent that much heat transference to the edge of the range top.

I had my stove for 1 year and 2 months. When it was going through self cleaning it blew the glass out of the door! This is a hazard and they wont stand by there product. Shame on you.

I have had this oven less then two years and the oven door handle keeps falling off and the oven door is held together by the handle; so when the handle comes off the whole door falls apart, including the glass window. seems like a faulty design and dangerous since usually the door falls apart while cooking and the oven door is 400F.

Have had this for about a month, works great. Only complaint is that the oven door doesn't stay open on its own - it springs back so always a risk of getting burned while trying to remove something from a hot oven.

Received range without stove top arm supports (holds top upright so one can clean underneath). Instead, top is held in place with two screws. Removing screws so that one has underneath cleaning access leaves top subject to easy unobstructed forward slippage away from rear (without any weight). Imagine having a pot of boiling water, sauce or oil. This is a far greater safety hazard than tipping of range, So, either one removes screws from underneath to gain cleaning access each time it needs to be cleaned (negatively effecting benefits of accessibility, convenience and ease) or remove screws permanently revealing major safety hazard when in use. In examine the instructions booklet, it is unclear if the support rods would prevent forward slippage. I am still without the support rods to the stove top. Be advised. Otherwise, very good range.

Within the first 2 weeks of owning the item the door handle fell off leaving the oven door open into 3 parts. We called and Frigidaire sent us a new door handle although we told them we believed the screws were too short to hold the door and handle together. We received the handle and replaced it. 2 months later the handle fell off again, this time from both sides- in the middle of the oven being on! Very unsafe. Called Frigidaire and they sent somebody out to fix it. The person that came to fix it told us we probably just needed to intermittently "tighten" the screws on the top of the door that held it together. Although we felt like this was definitely a defective product we did as instructed and tightened the screws every week. A few months later the entire door handle fell off again leaving the oven door laying on the floor yet again. Somebody was sent out to fix it but now we were nearing the end of our 1 year warranty on the product so I informed the customer care team that I believed this was a defective door and very unsafe to fly open during cooking but they reported that unless it was attempted to be fixed 5 times they would not consider it defective. This was a year ago and since this has happened an additional 5 times since the first year and now the screw parts are stripped on one of the door handle. This is completely ridiculous to have a known problem that started within the first month of getting the product. It will be very sad to dispose of an entire great working range because of this insane safety hazard that Frigidaire will not fix. Very disappointed and will never buy a Frigidaire item ever again.

Our old range was beginning to slow down. It took 30 min. to preheat the oven. This one does it 10 min. The burners heat up fast. I'm still learning the temp. range. My only complaint is the hinge on the oven door is tight and you have hold it tight when closing it or it slams closed.

Love his electriic stove. Can actually get things to boil without using highest setting then lowering it before it boils over. Controls are easy to understand and use. I prefer the metal top with classic coil burners rather than the glass tops with burners built in.

I™™m THRILLED this ™traditional™ electric range was available! I had a flat top, and the top broke. The cost to replace a top is RIDICULOUS! Maintenance RIDICULOUS. Flat tops are hard to clean, they scratch easily, and they do not recognize cast iron! I told my husband I wanted a ™traditional™ range! I didn™™t want the ™bells and whistles;™ I wanted functionality! I LOVE my range™¦the cook is even and the oven heats quickly.
