Replaced a Samsung that had poor temperature control on the range. This Bosch range controls very well. It's nice to cook on a range that is so predictable. We also have a Bosch Dishwasher and it cleans superbly.

This unit feels heavy and sturdy. The metal knobs are such a pleasure to use compared to my old plastic ones. The black stainless steel finish is amazing! No fingerprints and it just feels like a nice heavy metal that doesn't easily scratch. Great difference from the basic stainless that is hard to maintain.
There are many great features that I am still exploring. The oven heats up quickly and the burners on top boil faster way faster than my old unit. The warming drawer is a great bonus and will be used regularly.
Installation took a little patience and time to get it at the exact right level but it blends in with my countertop and looks great! You definitely get what you pay for with Bosch. This is 1 of 4 appliances I plan to switch out to Bosch.

The oven itself is great. Comes up to temperature quickly and stays consistent. Nice and easy to clean. The way the control panel is mounted leaves all sorts of opportunities fir food to get stuck in hard to clean places. The control knobs are super difficult to remove for cleaning. So much so it feels like I am going to rip the entire assembly out of the range.
The biggest issue is the cooktop. Mostly impossible to keep clean, even after explicitly cleaning after each use. There are some sort of ridges on the glass cooktop that really impact this. The heat is terribly inconsistent. Each burner has two temperature ranges, low and high. The problem is they work independently of each other. If you are on the high range, and find the heat too great, you'll obviously turn it down. If you turn it down to the highest setting on the low range, it will continue to further heat up the cooktop, since it thinks you are starting over and turning it on for the first time. Really strange operation choice by Bosch.

We are very satisfied with our purchase. Everything works perfectly as I would expect on a higher end range. And it is very attractive matching perfectly with our black stainless refrigerator. The glass top requires maintenance to keep it clean after cooking but it is worth it.

In 2011, I bought a full kitchen suite of appliances - I wanted Bosch, but their electric slide-in was very utilitarian and paled in comparison to the stunning Jenn-Air stove that had much higher-quality features, knobs and finishes... so I bought the Jenn-Air. However, 11 years later, Bosch has addressed the issues - they have improved the styling and the stove knobs are now cast-metal, as they should be (they were flimsy plastic in 2011). I was very pleased and included this stove in my full Bosch suite - my only complaint is that the stove has very little adjustment-range in height. Please see photo - I was surprised the stove sits far to high above my counter-tops, and I cannot lower the range any further... If I could lower it just an inch, it would be perfect... However, it is the fault of the builder, who didn't do the counters at the standard height, so I can't hold that against Bosch. (There are only a few stoves made to sit a little lower, and they are not of this quality.) I splurged and got the convection version - so it has the capability. Great stove.

This electric range has all the bells and whistles. I do wish it had an alert for being left on for a certain amount of time like the refrigerator's 'door open' alert.
Previously, my experience with electric ranges was not great, but this is a game changer. Water on the stove heats up so much faster than my old gas range. Plus, I love all the burner options and sleek look.
The pull out racks are really a great feature - no more burning myself on one of the racks while trying to remove a dish!!

Glass Top an Issue

I received this range in October 2021 and have issues with the cooktop. The color under the cooktop has flaked or burnt off underneath. I contacted Bosch in January and provided the information and photo as requested. I did not receive a response and sent an additional email in February asking for a reply. I read the review by Anissan dated 12/03/2021 and am concerned that my cooktop will look like her's if i keep using it. At this time, I cannot recommend this range.

It looks good and elegant, but cleaning the glass cook top is like a nightmare. I got all the recommended by Bosch cleaners (including the scraper), but I can't get rid off some hard stuff. They will not come off.

We recently replaced a 20 year old Jenn-Air downdraft electric range with the Bosch 800 Series Electric Slide-In.
Mostly AWESOME...But...the electric control panel is HYPER SENSITIVE. I'm convinced it will activate by sight, which is not a good thing. We've taken to locking the panel when not in use, possibly a minor issue...but a bit of a pain. The smaller back burners seem further back and harder to reach than our previous range as well. As with nearly any glass top range on the planet, the cooktop is a bit of a bear to keep clean as well.
Good news? Preheats quickly, cook temperature is what it says it is, more features than we've used so far, and seriously...it's kind of sexy in it's black stainless ensemble.

First of all it is a beautiful stove. I looks so nice with out white cabinets. Does a good job but the front panel is very different than the usual panel. We did have one issue. The power was on and we couldn't get the over to bake. We had to reset the breaker and that reset the panel which did the truck. Cooks very well top and inside the stove.

i had a drop in range 20 years old that I could no longer get parts for. this was exactly the correct height and width to fit in my kitchen island. we had to cut the lower cabinet in order to slide it in but it looks great. the convection bake is an extra feature that works well when baking bread.

Very good temperature control . Both on glass top and especially in the oven. Well made . I do miss the felt strip on the old GE underneath the glasstop edges to prevent spills from seeping into the cabinet area . The Bosch only has a metal liner strip which does not prevent any liquid spills from going under the glass top edges. Other than that , the warming drawer is very effective and finish on the range is easy to clean with just a soapy cloth. Controls are efficient and easy to master. Well engineered and worth the extra cost.

Let me start by saying that I had some very specific requirements for my existing space, so that kind of narrowed down my options as to what ranges were available to me. I needed a slide-in electric range that would fit into the existing space over my Quartz countertops (the cutout was made specifically for my old oven). So fit was an issue. This Bosch 800 Series totally fit the bill. That said, I am very pleased with this range in all respects. This range looks terrific. I love the black stainless steel. As a true "slide-in" range (the cooktop overlaps the countertops by about 1/4 inch), it has a neat built-in look. It's beautiful. The cooktop has an etched surface. It's still a smooth top, so no different from any other ceramic cook surface. But I'm certain that the etched design will hide the inevitable scratches that occur over time. Cleaning is the same as any ceramic cooktop...a razor blade and some of the regular ceramic cooktop cleaner does the trick. As far as features go, it's pretty straight-forward. I like all the convection modes and the controls are all pretty intuitive. The all-metal knobs are a nice touch. Not a fan of plastic knobs! One thing that I REALLY like is the "Fast Preheat" feature. This oven went from zero to 450 in less than 10 minutes. My old GE would take over 20 minutes to do that, maybe more. Some reviewers mention the oven fan as being overly loud. Yes, you can hear it. No, it's not bothersome. It's pretty much the same as my old GE, and it shuts down much quicker than my old one after cooking is done. It doesn't bother me in the slightest. I honestly think it's no different than any other model on the market. All electric ovens have fans. Great oven. Kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for.

We recently bought an electric range with glass top. Well within warranty time display module stopped functioning for control board. Get display replaced, second display module works for 2 months and proceeds to stop functioning.
Between this appliance and a dishwasher I would highly recommend buying a different brand, there are too many options for affordable and reliable appliances too have to deal with long wait times for technicians and problems within warranty time.
