GET EXTENDED WARRANTY

Its a nice appliance but it will break right after the manufacturer warranty is out. First the craft ice maker stops working then the freezer fan goes out. If you buy this make sure you buy the extended warranty because LG is useless Its showing that the warranty is only one year considering how many issues this thing has.

We bought this fridge 1.5 year ago and have 2 times problems with motor fan . 1st time cover by the warranty . In about 3 mounth 2nd time the same arrow code and same motor . Not a good product - dont buy . and they want to charge us for 2nd time also even they replace it wrong not properly install by LG . Buy anything except LG

2 years in the first compressor was replaced 18 months later same issue. Craft ice maker broke at 2 years. This model replaced our previous model that was 10 years old and just out of compressor warranty. At least we didnt have trouble on that one in the first 10 years

Complete Junk

Its the absolute junk of a refrigerator. We have owned ours for 4 years and have an extended warrantly for 5 years through the store we purchased it from. We have had the compressor replaced twice in 4 years. The refrigerator constantly sounds as if you are standing next to an electric company substation in that the humming noise can be heard from over 20 feet away. We the second compressor we had installed in July IS ALREADY FAILING. Whats worse is that the repair technician even told us he usually sees this model fail within a year. He literally said I am sure I will see you again in a few months ... our freezer does not get cold enough to keep ice cream hard and the milk in our refrigerator keeps spoiling. We could make another warranty claim but we have decided to just go buy a new non-LG refridgerator. When it was working I LOVED the craft ice but it so rarely worked.

I bought what I thought was a unit being discontinued by the MFG so it was marked down. The unit would not totally cool down from the get-go. It turns out this was a 4 year old unit and had the compressor replaced in 8/21. The LG tech told me it was probably a used unit and all I did was buy someone elses problem and even after his service call the unit still did not cool properly was very sporatic.

We bought the refrigerator because it had all the features that we wanted. Then about a year later it stopped cooling. Repaire man came and worked on it said its good. Six months later same thing repair man replaced the condenser all good. Until it stopped cooling again anyway another condenser and guess what stopped cooling. Finally LG agreed and is now replacing it. See what happens????

Solid customer service and warranty for Craft Ice

Since purchasing my LG fridge/freezer in 2020 with the Craft Ice Maker the ice balls the device made had been greatuntil the Craft Ice maker stopped recently working. I reached out to LG explained the issue and LG told me Im in warranty wont have to pay anything and a technician will be sent to my home. The Craft Ice Maker was replaced and our ice balls are back Thanks LG.

Ive had my fridge a year. I do like especially the beverage drawer. BUTthe craft ice maker quit after a few months but the support team was great about getting a new ice maker out to me. Installed it with no problems.

I hope I win the $500 for filling out the survey.After 1 year and 1 months my refrigerator have problems the ice maker doesnt work because the compressor is not working properly. The technician be 4 times in my house and I still dont have ice . The problem still the same after I be dealing with the problem for a month.

Love the design...ice production not as much

Im transitioning from a side by side so I love the extra fridge storage. I have the optional drawer set to meat/seafood. But it gets colder. Ive pulled meat at the drawer and its partially frozen. The regular icemaker is tiny If hosting a get together youll need to buy a bag of ice never had that issue with my side by side the cocktail ice is a nice feature but it takes a while to make. I currently have it set to make 6 balls in 24 hours... it takes that long or longer to make the 6. The fridge will let you know for a period if a door isnt closed all the way by beeping... however if its the freezer thats left slightly open mine was cracked open for about 4 hours everything starts to thaw and both ice bins melt... it will take 24 hours or longer to make more ice.

The craft icemaker seems to be a continuous problem. It has been replaced twice in the year that Ive had this refrigerator. For some reason there is water leaking into the storage ice tray. There are also times where the ice balls are fused together. This is the third time Ive requested service. Instead of service setting up an appointment for me I received a text message from a representative telling me to call three different. 1-800 numbers. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

Great look bad ice maker design

Have had the fridge for just under a year. Love the space and French door design with the condiments accessory door. The craft ice is fantastic but have had to have it replaced already due to poor design. Technician said unless you have an RO system for your water the scale will build up and prevent the ice from falling out. Replacement was easy and under warranty. If ice maker didnt have deign faults would have rated as 5 stars

Life is Not Good

For anyone who is CONSIDERING purchasing a LG refrigerator please DO NOT buy. I own one it stopped working schedule repair has been a nightmare for me. Here is what happened: the fridge broke called to schedule a repair the earliest was 7 days later fine I will wait. Technician no show on the day tried to call customer service which took me an hour each time I call but still no one can tell me what to do. Finally 4 dyas later they scheduled me for another 10 days later. I dont know if this time they will show up. Net net Family has been living without a fridge for 10 days now and will have to wait for another 10 days before the technician shows up. If the technician is still a no show I will likely have to wait for another 10 or 20 days. During this process I had to spend at least an hour with customer service and they kepft transferring me to another team who is supposed to handle my issue. Rest assured this will be the last time I purchase LG product this experience is beyond frustration.

LG needs to fix their door functions

Doors dont seal 7/29/2024

The metal flap that closes the opening between the 2 doors does not flip to seal the space between the doors which allows the cold air to escape. We purchased the refrigerator on 6/11/24 and called Best Buy shortly after we purchased it. Were told that we needed to contact LG and have them fix it. Called LG support and was told they would not come out and fix it that was our responsibility. We have tried and nothing has worked. So we are stuck with a refrigerator that allow cold air to escape with no customer service

I barely have a year with my refrigerator and it had so many problems that they took their sweet time fixing it. I lost all my groceries. It took six weeks to finally get it fixed. I am a loyal lg customer. I just bought a new stove recently. Im disappointed with not making a priority to get my refrigerator fixed.

Cool refrigerator but it wont keep my food from

I bought the refrigerator and 13 months later it stopped cooling. I called lg support and they said they would send a tech out to trouble shoot the refrigerator. They have never responded. Im using a neighbors refrigerator and my garage refrigerator. Ive left messages with the person I spoke to their in the Philippines its been over a month and Im still waiting. I will never buy any lg appliance again. Maybe who ever reads this can help me out.

Experience has been awful We bought this in November of 2021. Compressor went out in summer of 2022. Again in a few weeks. In 2024 replaced evaporator and compressor again. Lots of damaged food wasted time with LG customer service and stress on top of it

The refrigerator is really nice and spacious. I like the craft ice function as well as ice is a hot commodity in our house. The fridge seems very well thought out and designed. The water filter location and design is much better than other fridge models I have had to use. I like the quick access door and how much you can actually fit in there. All the shelves/compartments actually fit stuff unlike my last fridge where I had some odd sized shelves/compartments where they didnt have any real storage usage just there.

We have had this refrigerator for a little over a year. Overall it is a good refrigerator but we had an error code IF that came up just outside of the one year manufacturer warranty. LG offered a promotion that was able to extend out our warranty and we were able to get the ice maker fixed.

Great refrigerator despite a few issues

It is now going on 5 years since I purchased this refrigerator. I love this refrigerator and it would get 5 stars except for early problems that required replacement of the condenser under warranty early in ownership and a recent event that had me replace the door panel even though it was a could not duplicate. All the controls are touch controls and generally work flawlessly but there is one area of the panel with 2 functions on one area. it is the special craft icemaker function and the water filter reset. I have always found this button to be a bit touchy. So when the signal showed on the panel to replace the water filter I did and then could not reset that alarm because I was pressing the wrong area. Otherwise this is one smart refrigerator It can be controlled over wifi and will give you a monthly update of all functions and usage. It holds loads of groceries and besides the side-by-side doors it has a freezer door and a middle drawer that can be used as additional refrigerator or freezer space. Despite these issues LG ranks above other refrigerators for reliability. Technical support has been excellent and I love the THINQUE app that works on my Android phone and Windows PC to control the refrigerator my LG TV Washer and Dryer. I would buy it again.

Extremely bad experience

We received our fridge with a dent in one of its door. The delivery guys took photos call Customer Support and informed them of the problem. They also gave me the phone number they call and told me that if I dont hear back in less that 49 hrs to call and check on the status. It was supposed to be a very simple and easy process as I was explanided - they would just bring a new door and replaced it in pess then 5 minutes. One year later that still hasnt happened after many phone calls. Between LG Warranty Department Home Depot and the delivery service they just blame one the another and no one is willing to help in any way.
