App Update Made Smart Feature Useless

we didn't need a new range but wanted the flexibility that one with wifi could provide. with our busy home, being able to preheat the oven for dinner while we are on the way home from work would be very useful. when we first got the range, we were able to do that. but then a few months later they updated the app and it appears they took that feature away. you can only control it from the app if the oven is already on. this completely defeats the purpose and has made us really regret what has become a completely unnecessary expensive purchase.

Constantly needing repair

Great for our home!

We replaced our old oven (very old) with this one, we chose it because of all the great settings and the griddle. It was also really easy to convert to liquid propane (we live in Hawaii, so no natural gas). We love cooking with it and the smart features are actually really helpful - including once when we left in a rush and forgot to turn the oven off - instead of turning around and coming all the way back, I turned it off with my phone - what a save!

Regret buying this range

We purchased this range specifically because it was a "smart" appliance and wifi connected. Long story short, the range worked with the Samsung app for about one month. It lost connectivity to the Samsung servers and after much communicating back and forth with them it was never fixed and still does not work correctly. It will not even display the correct time and it is connected to the internet via wifi. Very dissapointed in this purchase and Samsung Smart Things in general.

After alot of research, I bought this range to replace my old one cause the oven went out. It did not disappoint. The air fry feature has been amazing! I literally air fried a 20 pound turkey and it was delicious. Set up was easy. I still haven't tried all the features yet, but I can't wait to try the dehydrator and the self cleaning. I did have a hard time connecting to the WiFi with my iPhone. So I had my husband and his Android set that part up and I was then able to connect. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new range.

We actually got this ranged by accident we ordered one from Lowe's and they sold it even after we paid for it online five hours after we paid for it and delivery and everything else were set up so they had to make it right with me and they gave me the range and I'm so happy they did the features are amazing I love having the smart things app because our TV is connected to it as well I'm in love with the dehydrate setting we made almost 15 fresh pineapples apples and strawberries as dehydrated snacks the first night I was up all night doing it but I loved every moment this is amazing range and I love the griddle

I've had the range a little over a month and have used it daily. The basic features work as they should do lets look at the not so basic ones. Air fryer. I wanted this feature since I Alessi do most of my cooking in a counter top unit but the size limitations were starting to annoy me as cooking 3-5 batches is tedious. That's no longer the case with this range. I can cook one batch and done. The smart/ wifi feature is good. It gives you the status(burner & oven on/off) of the range and allows you to preset the cooking method and time. However someone must still physically press the start button. I'm sure this is for safety, but I'd rather have the option to turn on the range from the app.

The oven is huge, the airfry feature is amazing, as are the bake, convection bake, roast and broil functions. I have it hooked up to the wireless but have not yet used that function. We are on propane and the converstion kit came with the stove. I highly recommend this applaince.

I wish my non-stick pans were as easy to clean as this griddle is. It is taking a while to understand how to use the air fry feature properly. The pre-set temp is too hot for many things and it really works best when you set a lower temp and let it pre-heat a few minutes. The oven size is great. I haven't used the convection feature so can't comment on that. Overall, it's a good replacement for my old range.

This is the best range I've ever had (out of maybe 6). The burners work well and amazing. Center burner with included griddle is a nice little addition. The stainless steel is a nice and fitting touch with the rest of my kitchen. This has been the most effective self-clean if any range I've had, was literally just wipe away as they claim (something I've struggled with before). The only method I didn't get to try was the air fry as this model didn't come with an air fry basket and the Samsung one was unavailable. As soon as possible then l I'll be getting it and testing it out, hoping that like the rest of the range it works flawlessly. The storage compartment at the bottom is also great for keeping the actual oven portion as empty as possible.

I don't know how I got along without this range. It has everything I need. I love the air fryer and the bread proof setting. I use the keep warm setting to make sure everything comes out hot at the same time. We use the middle section to make pancakes, hamburgers and steak, as close to grilling as you can get indoors.

It's not just a regular oven, but has convection and air fryer too. The stove top griddle works great and is easy to clean. The app feature is not too helpful for me. I was able to program the oven settings and time, but I still need someone to hit the start button. I am in a wheelchair and was hoping I could do it myself remotely. Also, when my modem shuts off, it turns the oven off.

Nice Range but control panel has problems

I love the range except for the control panel. We've been having problems with it being non-responsive. We contacted customer support about it and but it's still doing it and not sure why.

Features make this range very desirable!

Although I have only used this range for a month, I am impressed with all the features, including WIFI connectivity. I love the burners that have varying BTU capabilities as well as the burner grates that have enough friction that pots don't slide around, a big complaint about my last range. A lot of cooking and baking were done at Christmas and the oven did everything well.

never worked from the start

we have had this oven for 10 days. it worked the first day it was installed - although i felt like taking 30 minutes to reach 425 was a bit long. it now doesn't work. we can turn on the oven, and see the the igniter glowing, but no flame lights. if i turn on the stovetop, then the oven lights. this is the same for the normal oven and the broiler. very frustrating to have a brand new appliance installed that doesn't work - just in time for the holidays. i'm now waiting for a service agent to chat with me. i'm sure they will want to come schedule an appointment to confirm all of this and we will lose more time with a functional kitchen.

Samsung Smart Range

Samsung hit another home run with this one. Beautiful, clean lines make the range stand out as a centerpiece, and we can't wait to put a matching Samsung smart microwave above it. All of that being said, there is one improvement I would suggest. It would be a nearly perfect product if I had the ability to turn the oven on/off while NOT at home. That is the only thing I would like to see changed, so far. Otherwise, the current features are fantastic. It is super easy to clean the cast parts and underneath them. The ability to air fry large amounts at once is probably my favorite feature.

Looks nice, has flaws

cook top is fine, the control buttons are often unresponsive, there is no up/down button to adjust oven temperature, and the oven turns off when the timer reaches zero. would buy a different model if you like to cook.

samsung will not let me write an honest negative review so this is worthless. stove is great, samsung is not. stove has manufacturing defect they will not cover. stove is 2 weeks old.
